If you're using the phone/tablet app, you can add them in Recipes, Meals and Foods in the More menu, Foods tab. Click "Create a Food" at the bottom of the page. In web browser MFP, click the Food tab, then the My Foods sub-tab, then the Create button up toward the upper right of the page.

If the food has a nutrition label, enter the data from that, being careful about mg/percent differences, and whether your label has salt or sodium (which varies by country). Accuracy is important.

If your food doesn't have a label, choose an authoritative source to get the data. One good option is USDA FoodData Central Database, here:

    https://fdc.nal.usda.gov/

If you aren't in the US, possibly your country has a similar site, but I wouldn't know where that might be . . . probably easy to find via web search, though, if such a thing exists. For whole foods, like veggies, fruit or grains, the USDA site is fine pretty much anywhere, since those don't vary lots from one country to another. If it's packaged multi-ingredient processed foods, those can vary in formulation from one country to the next.

ETA: There are other ways to get to the place where you can add foods; that's just one obvious easy-to-explain one. However you reach the page where you add foods, you can log it in your diary from the My Foods tab of the logging search, and it will be in recent/frequent foods just like any other food after you log it.
