I'm back after about 8 years.

Hi all. I'm back. Was greatly successful when I was here before by logging and exercising.
Closing in on 60 years old at this point and have a few health issues such as bad osteoarthritis in hands and knees, bursitis in a few places including shoulders but don't plan on those issues completely stopping me.
Walking is still my best option when the weather cooperates.
Anyways, need to drop 20lbs and moderate some dietary intake (less sugar, less sodium).
Things look very different here from when I was last a user here, mostly the 'Friends' portion of the app.
Going to try making my way around here but at the very least will be logging.

Hello, and welcome!
You might consider the 60+ thread, which is here - we don't check IDs at the door, and there are others there who are nearing 60 as well as those already over, and people at all stages of loss or maintenance. (I'm 69, in long term weight maintenance after loss 9+ years back). Don't panic if you open the thread up and see old posts: Like any long-running thread here, the new posts are at the end, on high-numbered pages. You can jump straight there with the number/arrow keys near the top and bottom of each page's list of posts on the thread. It's here:
There are also lots of challenge and accountability threads in the Motivation and Support or Challenges parts of the Community, plus a few others spread around elsewhere. Usually the first post says how to join in, and if it doesn't usually the way to join is simply to post on the thread. You can read a few posts to get a feel for the specific instance you're considering.
Any of those things is a good way to virtually meet people, make connections, and get support.
