so do you have a plan? A goal?

I used to attend sales classes and they would constantly pound on having a goal, planning, and implementation.

It wasn’t til I started weight loss that i began to realize there was something to that.

One thing - as dumb as it sounds- that really helped me was buying a cute dress at TJMaxx. I was busting out of XXL. This dress was an L, and a pencil dress to boot. I would have done well getting one thigh in.

I hung that dress sideways in the closet, so it lay over everything else hanging there. I had to look at it, touch it, move it to get dressed every morning. I started having conversations with it. “We’re going to have good times, you and I. I’m five pounds closer. 1/3 of the way there.”

that was very motivating. It was a tangible goal. I could see it and touch it.

I also broke my loss down into five pound increments. Five pounds wasn’t so overwhelming. My first goal was to get under 200. Five lost? Well that was 20% of the way to that goal. I used that same thought process with my next three loss goals.

Same thought process I use in the pool when I’m not feeling it. 450 yards? I’m a quarter of the way to finishing up.

    It makes everything go faster.

You can post and whinge, or do something about it. I spent over 25 years overweight and then I obese. If your clothes are just “tight”, do something about it now. Don’t give up and give in like I did for so many years.
