I need to lose 20 kg of my body weight any help in deit to eat and activity to do.

    Hello, and welcome!

    Good overall nutrition is important for health, and exercise is good for a body . . . but weight loss is all about calorie balance. Eat the right number of calories, and we'll lose weight. It's not about eating only diet foods or "superfoods" and eliminating all supposedly-bad foods. It's not about having some punitively intense, miserable exercise program (which is actually counter-productive, in practice).

    Calorie balance is the foundation. What makes reality more complicated is that we're all unique individuals with different preferences, strengths, challenges, and lifestyles. We need to figure out how to stay reasonably full and happy most of the time, ideally eating foods we enjoy but at minimum don't hate, getting overall reasonable nutrition on average most of the time, with food choices and portions that add up the the right number of calories. Even sleep and hydration can be factors, and there are others.

    The best solution is individual, and only we can figure it out. Other people can tell us what worked for them, and those are ideas to try as an experiment. Try some things, keep the tactics that work for you, cross the ones that don't work off the list, and keep going: Long term, you'll succeed.

    From a weight loss standpoint, all that exercise does is let us eat a few more calories - potentially enabling better nutrition - while losing at the same sensibly moderate rate. For weight loss, exercise is not magic, and it's not even absolutely essential.

    Like I said, the right approach is individual, and other people can only tell us what worked for them, to give us ideas to try. What worked for me, to lose about 50 pounds (around 23 kilos) after around 30 previous years of overweight/obesity, at age 59-60 while severely hypothryroid (medicated, though)?     Like I said, that won't work for everyone. It's just an option to try, if it sounds like it might suit you. It worked great for me: I'm in year 9+ of maintaining a healthy weight. Other people will give you other ideas to try. Some of their ideas might work better for you, and if they do, that's great!
