Fast 800 options

Hi there

I follow the Fast 800 diet, which going by Facebook and other platforms is very popular. However for so long I (we) can not end the day and get any statistics as MFP says we haven’t had enough calories and tells me I should have at least 1000.

I think when we pay for the premium, these functions should be available whatever the calorie intake you choose.

Based on guidance from the National Institutes of Health and other experts and resources, we do not calculate daily calorie goals of fewer than 1200 calories for women, or 1500 calories for men. You can read about recent updates to our nutritional guidelines, and the science behind them, here.

I too am doing the Fast 800 and have had success in the past. I’m also a premium member. I would also like to have this function made available. It’s my choice after all and I’m on here for support 😉

    It's a liability issue.

The only thing you get for closing your diary is the 5 week projection. It's a gimmick anyway, but if they allowed it to calculate the projection based on very low calories, there's a very good chance that people who are deliberately eating at unhealthily low calories to see fast losses would be spurred on to keep starving themselves to hit those projected weights.

MFP could, and most likely would, eventually get sued for that, as soon as someone with the money and the right lawyer said "well I kept starving myself because MFP said I could hit my goal weight in 5 weeks if I only ate X calories".

It doesn't matter what you've paid for, the fact is that they are following health guidelines and are protecting themselves legally.

personally I would like to see the based on a rolling average overtime, which would then allow those of us with a regular fasting regime still see those daily even when we are fasting.
