Beginning Again at 58!

Hello, I've been conscious of my weight since I was 13 yrs old when I did my first diet which consisted of herb tea carrots and celery. Today I try not to think in terms of diet. Over the last 10 years, I have really changed my relationship with food and I had lost 73 lbs over a 5 yr period. But then I went through a very stressful couple years and during that time, I began using food for emotional reasons. Now, I would love to feel more comfortable in my body again and be able to move more easily. But I regained almost all of the weight I had lost (which took 5 yrs) in just 2 years!
Forgiving myself for this, I begin again on a weight loss and exercise program. I welcome support from others here who are also working on this. Wishing the best to everyone reading this and may you find great health and a sane relationship with food!

Sometimes it feels like a never ending struggle, especially for those of us that were made to feel less than for our bodies at such an early age.
Love that you’re forgiving yourself for that hard time and those easy choices; forgiveness is so often last given to ourselves!
Here is to health and a sustainable journey back to it. x
