Full size products for recipe creation

When entering a recipe, it would be so nice to have the option of choosing an entire product, rather than having to calculate the total servings from the individual serving size offered. For example, if a recipe calls for a whole 18oz can of tomato sauce, I’m only given the option of adding the individual serving size which I then have to multiply by [whatever] to get the full calorie/nutrition for the can. I’m only talking about recipe creation here. Because I need the whole nutrition amount, which is then divided by the servings, to get the correct nutrition for the whole recipe. Is this making sense?

Yes, it makes sense.
In most food items in the database that default to X ounces, but that's only part of the whole package, and you're using the whole package, there's another option besides multiplying.
If you click the serving size drop-down on a thing that defaults to X ounces, you'll usually have a one ounce option. If you click on that, then change the number of servings to 18 (or whatever the whole package is), MFP will do the multiplying for you.
