For years, I suffered from chronic immune issues that snowballed into a series of other debilitating health problems. My journey has not been an easy one, but it has awakened a deeper purpose within me: to heal myself and, one day, help others do the same.

My health issues did not arise in a vacuum. They were the result of multiple contributing factors: unresolved trauma, a botched medical procedure (rhinoplasty), and a childhood shaped by limited nutritional education. Like many others, my mother did the best she could with the knowledge she had, but lack of access to accurate, science-based and other nutritional information played a role in shaping the habits that would later help compromise my immune system. You know, nutritional gaps passed down through generations.

In addition, trauma—both emotional and physical—left an imprint on my nervous system, weakening my body's ability to regulate and protect itself.

Now I’m educated, and breaking bad habits. However, I have a lot of educating of self left to accomplish. I just getting started. I used to get sick every month, then it snowballed into every other week, for years. The last 14 months I had only been sick only once for an entire month. However my body is extremely weak from not being active enough, I need to heal this.

As I continue walking this path of healing and learning, I’ve come to recognize that true wellness cannot be achieved by following a single ideology or healing system. Instead, it calls for an integrative, global approach—one that honors the diversity of healing traditions from around the world and understands that health is deeply personal. I do want to get a a Nasm personal trainer certificate.

Although I’ve sought help from mainstream medical professionals and found value in certain courses, books, and treatments, I’ve also realized that conventional medicine alone doesn’t always provide all the answers. That’s why I’ve broadened my studies to include a spectrum of healing modalities. Ayurveda, for instance unlocks secrets to foods that give you what you need, even for your moods. The Mediterranean and Nordic diets each highlight regionally rooted eating patterns that focus on whole foods, healthy fats, and sustainable nutrition—methods that align with the natural rhythms of the body and the Earth. For example, for the Vikings cod oil was their secret sun in a cold dark winter wonder land—lighting them strength and endurance, providing lots of vitamin d.

Rather than confining myself to one belief system, I’ve chosen to become a student of the rainbow of healing methods passed down through generations across the globe. I believe my path to become a fitness instructor and health coach, I will be open to learning from all corners of the world. Whether it’s ancient healing wisdom, modern scientific research, or intuitive practices that align body, mind, and spirit, each perspective contributes a valuable piece to the larger puzzle of wellness.

As I continue to rebuild my own health, I am laying the foundation to one day, empower others on their own paths to healing. My ultimate goal is not just to recover, but to transform my suffering into strength, and learn for others in the future what I need for myself today—and use that strength to light the way for others.
