Why is Fiber information missing from so many database foods?

Once again, I used a barcode to enter something I ate: A fiber supplement that I added to my smoothie. The MFP listing included carbs — that's it. No fiber value listed for a fiber supplement.
This is not the first time I've run into this. It is so frustrating.
My health plan requires me to prioritize protein, fiber and water, and this very expensive app can only handle one of those well. (Hydration tracking is fair, but could be easier.)
Fiber is basic. Why is it missing so often?

It's very simple: the database is almost entirely user-entered and many people are not interested in the fibre (or other micro-nutrients) so don't bother to enter them.
The answer? When you notice this click on "report food", select "missing information", make sure you select "save to my foods" , correct the data and save it. You can now use that correct entry.
Next time you consume that food Do Not Use the Barcode scanner - this will bring up the uncorrected entry. (As far as I can tell, no-one is monitoring and correcting these entries). You should search for it in your "My foods" list.
