Hi everyone,

I'm excited (and a little nervous) to finally start my weight loss journey. My current weight is 100 kg (220 lbs), and my goal is to reach 70 kg (154 lbs) — a number I haven’t seen in a long time, but one that I truly believe is possible with consistency and support.

Like many people, I’ve tried to lose weight in the past, sometimes with small success, but I always ended up falling back into old habits. This time, I want to do things differently. I want to be patient, realistic, and build habits that I can sustain for life — not just for a short-term result.

Today marks Day 1, and I’m committing to taking it one step at a time. I’m starting by tracking my food, drinking more water, and walking every day, even if it’s just for 20-30 minutes. I’m not following any strict diet yet — just trying to eat a bit healthier and move more.

I’d love to connect with others on the same journey. Your stories, tips, and encouragement mean a lot — especially on the hard days when motivation is low. Thank you all for creating such a positive space. I’m happy to be here, and I look forward to sharing progress and learning from you all.

Wish me luck!

Hi and Welcome to the forums.

I started where you are and I lost the weight and have maintained at 140-145 for almost all of the last 18 years. It's totally worth whatever effort and changes you make.

I'd suggest maybe joining in one or more of the ongoing "challenge" threads over in the Motivation and Support section of the forum. That gives you daily check ins and friendly conversation.
