Step count too high

Hi, I'm struggling to get a correct step count on mfp. I use a Google pixel watch 2 and a pixel phone. MyFitnessPal is synced for Google Fit to track steps but I also have the Fitbit app. I thought maybe the Health Connect app was adding the fitbit and Google Fit step counts because MFP has tracked almost doubled the steps. Could anyone advise what if the app has a fault or if I'm doing something wrong.

If you have both connected and are actively using both, your hypothesis could absolutely be correct here. We don't recommend connecting two different "step trackers" for this reason.
