Time to use the degree on myself!

Hello out there. I'm just getting started on here...well, I've done this before, but just not too seriously.

I'm a certified ACSM Health Fitness Specialist, yet even I feel I need a change. I spent the last 4 years studying the books, and did very well, but my body suffered from it. I'm not that overweight, but right now, I'm about 25-30 pounds more than when I started college. Not a trend I want to continue. And whats most concerning to me is my % fat. I want to change that

I lack in self-confidence, especially because of my chosen field. Everyone else is fit and toned. And right now, I'm looking for jobs, and its hard because I wonder who would want to hire a personal trainer that was less fit than themself.

I'm ready to use my education/knowledge on myself now. And I'd be willing to share them with anyone else! I'm just looking to find motivation/encouragement from the people on here!

Thanks for reading!

    Welcome to MFP

please share your plan with us.

It would be interesting to see how you will change your nutrition and your expected timeline for objectives

    Good luck in your journey

Don't beat yourself up and get down about finding a job. I talked to gym reps at a job fair awhile ago, and they said that sometimes the not-so-perfect trainers who know what they're talking about are the most popular because clients aren't intimidated by them, and the clients figure the imperfect trainer can relate to them. You'll find the right place--and get toned and healthy right along with your clients. I bet they'd love to see that!
