My Fitness Pal is Broken

I am posting this as a screenshot of my mobile app.
There is no need to say other
1g carb= 4 cal
1g fat= 9 cal
1g protein = 4 calories
Then How the fun am I left 8 calories if I still have all those grams of carbs fat or protein????
And this is not the first time a bug undermine and sabotage a user's health. I noted in a period that it was also undercounting inducing in extras that were not normal.
Honestly, I was on MFP Premium for years now since I am a Garmin user. But to use MFP to track is a hazard I no longer can tollerate. because it is a paid service that fails to provide what it states as it's main purpose.

MFP does not calculate calories based on macros. Calories are a data field on their own, separate from the macro data fields.
Potential reasons why things don't add up:
- Incorrect food database entries (the database is mostly crowdsourced)
- Rounding of values
- Fiber falls under carbs in the US and some other countries- an exception to the 1gr carbs = 4 kcal rule (depending on the type, fiber contains 0 to 2kcal per gram)
- Alcohol has calories but isn't a macro
In your case it's likely the first few points, considering you seem to be in Italy and I don't see any alcoholic beverages in your diary.

The workaround is to search for database items that are entered correctly OR enter your own foods into the database and use them. Then you know they're entered the way you want them.
There are other food logging platforms. They all have their issues. This one works fine, you just have to know how to use it to reach your own personal goals.

I travel frequently in Europe, bring lots of European products home, and frequently shop the European imports in the Lidl Whooppee-It’s-Fun-European-Products aisle here.
I’ve noticed many European products are inaccurate.
I don’t mean to sound like a smart *kitten*. I mean this in all sincerity. You could do the European weight loss users a HUGE favor by joining the crowdsourcers and entering some products data correctly, or adding new ones.
I enter the ones I find, but, this being an app that was started for North American users, the database is heavily oriented towards American, Canadian, UK, Australian products.
German and popular Mexican and Central American listings tend to be pretty decent. I often can’t find quality Italian listings and OMG, when we visited Romania, Ukraine, Georgia,Turkey, Uzbekistan, I was pulling my hair out. Ditto for some middle eastern products I’ve picked up.
The more items you and I enter into the database, the easier it becomes for everyone who follows!
