Taking control

Howdy y'all. Im taking control of my health after about 10 years of it going to hell. I used to pride myself on my health. In my mid 20's I was 6'0, 175lbs, biked miles per day, and ate like a Buddhist monk. In my later 20's I moved to Texas to pursue country music. I drove everywhere, ate tex-mex for breakfast and dinner, and eventually developed appendicitis. After my surgery the pandemic started and next thing I knew I was 235lbs. Since I moved back to Chicago I've slowly gotten back down to 205, but it's felt impossible to lose more. Im tracking my macros, running, and lifting to get into shape for an electrician apprenticeship I hope to start in the next few months. I'm most nervous about the physical examination as I'm in my mid 30's now and havent been in shape in 10 years and competing against young men, but I've accomplished everything I've truly put my mind to. Tracking my macros has helped with my snacking so much! If I get my protein and fiber im usually not even hungry enough to smack in the night. Haven't lost any weight yet, but my digestion, snacking, and mood have improved. Wish me luck!
Thank you,
Ryan
