Are you new to MFP - do you log consistently?

There are few main reasons that I`ve seen it happen:

If its for few weeks it can be a normal plateau. I had one for 3 weeks not even a bit lost last month. I like the zigzag cycling for that. MFP has option to set days with different calories. Now I am back to my normal.

If you are using some medication or some other reasons you can be holding water. Water is not a bad weight, but can be really irritating when you don't see the scale move.

If you are in a deficit of lets say -300 calories for a long period of time the body gets used to it and removes some calorie usage. Blinks less, removes some unintentional movements. It can optimize itself. Keep in mind that the body sees weight loss as emergency. Don't go directly into drastically lowering calories. Try walking a bit more, changing what you eat, increase food with fibers.

There is a little more complicated situation with cooking too. Lets see celery as example. Raw its about 6 calories per stalk. If you cook it the body gets about 30. It breaks down the fibers and the body processes it easier. With meat and rice the differences are big. In MFP I always try to add the food in its current state: raw, boiled, grilled and so on. I generally prefer raw vegetables.

And the stupidest reason. I had a scale that started giving me wrong results.

Every body is different so those ore only a few possibilities. I got a scale with bodyfat and muscle measuring. They are not verry accurate, but some times my weight doesn't go down, but my fat/muscle ratio is better so I feel good about that.
