Is having red meat ok?

Hello, my name is Lila and I’m 44 years old. I recently did a blood planner that showed that I am prone to get diabetes three, HDL and something about triglyceride which I have no idea what that’s about anyways I’m trying to stick to chicken and fish but today I caved and still stayed underneath my calories and had some red meat. Is having red meat once in a while ok?

HDL is the good kind of cholesterol you want in your blood, are you sure about that report? High HDL is a good thing.
Also: triglycerides are a type of 'bad' cholesterol, but mostly linked to consumption of highly processed foods/simple carbs I believe. Considering you're at risk of diabetes too according to the test, it sounds like managing your carb intake is more important than whether or not you eat red meat.
Personally, I think eating red meat occasionally is fine - its a good source of iron.
Was the blood test part of a medical check by your doctor? Didn't they give you any advice?
