Family share with premium !?

I was hoping that the policy for family sharing has changed since 2023.
Both my husband and I love this app and was hoping to only have one subscription as all of the apps go thru my singular appleID
thanks!

Nope, and it doesn't look to be on the radar.

I have been a My Fitness Pal user for many years and have quite a bit of information stored in recipes and meals. I was looking at going premium and using family share with my husband so I can track his information. From the other comments, it appears this is not an option. How disappointing! 😞 I cannot pay two subscriptions so I will be looking for another app.

I have premium and my husband has the free one. I can easily share meals with him, and we can copy back and forth.
You have to “friend” each other, and your privacy settings have to “share diary” with either just friends or public.
He would find you in his friends list, view your diary, and go to the three dots next to the meal. Click the three dots and select “copy meal to today” or whatever day you want to copy it to.
Easy. And only one subscription necessary. Actually, no subscription necessary.
