Getting in shape for school

I've been trying all summer to lose some weight, but I didn't realize that I'm not going to be able to lose weight without exercising. So I've started a new mindset and I AM going to exercise everyday and stick to my plan!! I have lost ten pounds since the end of last semester, and if I lose another 10 pounds, I can say that I lost 20 pounds over the summer! However, next semester starts in less than four weeks so I've gotta get a move on!!!

I've spent some time searching the "Add Food" list and I've found different ideas for snacks, because people add their own Homemade recipes for breakfast foods and salads and it has inspired me to try new things and downsize my portions a little more!

So I'm hoping to log in everyday until school starts at least. Once school starts, it will be SO MUCH more difficult to maintain my weight, let alone actually lose a few more pounds, because our cafeteria is all-you-can-eat for every meal and I'm taking a whopping 23 credit hours, plus more noncredit activities. I'm am scared that I will gain the weight back!! SO I guess I'll just try my hardest for now and take it one step at a time!

Would anyone else like to share their summer story or their short term goals for summer or school or whatever?

I'm not in school anymore but I too have been losing weight over the summer. I dropped about 30 lbs a year ago and maintained that for a while. Then I gained some back over this spring. Now I've been back on track for a bout a month or two.

I work at a university so I have been eating at the cafeteria. I have just eaten one plate and logged an estimation. I was in Turkey for two weeks too eating out almost exclusively but I logged estimations pulled from my hat. I lost 1-2 lbs over that two weeks too!
Student life is busy but this site makes controlling your food easy. You might also consider getting an iphone or an android phone if you don't already have one. I found this site through the Iphone app and it makes it even more convenient.

Just keep logging (even if you have to go with just estimations) and you'll do fine!
