If you use a smart scale, which one? Thoughts or feedback on that smart scale?

thank you.

I bought the Garmin. It's expensive, but I've had good luck with Garmin hardware. My main reason was that I didn't want yet another app to manage my weight. I already use Garmin Connect.

It works well. I wish that it would pop up a notification when it makes a measurement that says something encouraging, even when you weight goes up!

I have an Etekcity, I think it might be a model ESF-551. I bought it because it was cheap, around $20 USD. It seems to work fine, links to a phone app that keeps stats, estimates body fat and lean mass and that sort of thing (which isn't all that accurate from any bioimpedance analysis home scale, maybe useful for long-term trends but not absolute values).

I don't really have high expectations of a scale: If it gives me a reasonable measurement of body weight, I'm good. I mostly care about the weight trend, not the daily ups and downs. Any other estimates it gives me are . . . entertaining, I guess?

A scale isn't going to change my life, so mostly I want it to be functional and relatively inexpensive, which this one is. I've only had it for a few months, so I don't know how it'll hold up over the very long term, but so far so good.

I have a Withings scale. It automatically updates into MFP. It recognizes that I am me and my husband, who is 60 lbs heavier than I am, is him. So we don't have to choose a profile.
