if I join a group does my city and location show to other members? How can I protect what information is viewable to others?

The only information that could hypothetically be viewed by others would be in your actual MyFitnessPal account (outside the forum). You can alter/remove identifying information by editing your profile, here- https://www.myfitnesspal.com/user/edit
