Juicing with a Blender?

Hi all,
So I'm seeing more and more posts about juicing and I think I'd like to try it out. However, I do not have a Juicer, nor do I really have the extra cash for one. Though I do have a blender and would be able to do that instead.
Does anyone have any juicing recipes for a blender? Something in which I could potentially make a big batch and freeze smaller portions for the week?

I don't, but I do know how tough (but worth it) juicing is. I salute everyone who tries it. The first three days are hell, but each day afterward reveals more and more of the payoff. Best of luck, Meg.0

Juicing with a blender is better then a juicer. Stripping away all the fiber with a juicer is going to just leave only sugar behind reek havoc on your blood sugar.1

If you can scrounge up $100 you should get the Nutribullet! It's a high quality bullet blender that liquifies everything you put into it. That way you get all the fiber and you can even add seeds and nuts, but you also use less veggies and save more money. Juicers spit out all the fiber and are a pain to clean and you need to use tons of veggies and fruits just to get 1 cup worth. If you have a blender that isn't "strong" enough or the blades arent good enough, you're healthy smoothies will be gross and chunky. Spinach chuncks would be weird, but with the nutribullet; everything is smooth and liquid. I love it so much I made a review myself on YouTube. Check it out. Search "Ultimate Nutribullet Review" or I'll post it here...

There are manual juicers that are cheap. You'll burn some calories in the process! That's how we always made orange juice when I was a kid - the kids were in charge of the juicing, and we'd squish and turn those oranges until they were thoroughly juiced!0

You can "juice" depending on what you use if you add a bit of water and go to the effort to chop your stuff up first.
I use this sometimes to make soups however they end up being more like a salsa haha.0 -

Juicing does not work like that. But I suggest going to YouTube and searching both, YouTube is a Great resource.0 -
Try searching for green smoothies instead, you can do some real good things for your health that way-- and you don't have to buy another device.
The basic idea is, 1 fruit, 1 vegetable, 1 banana, 2 cups of water in a blender.
For the vegetable, try cucumber, salad greens, spinach, I've even put a raw beet in there (I chopped it first) and that was very good.0 -
slightly cook hard veggies
use strainer after blending
cut fruit veg into smaller pieces
you do need the fiber0 -
Alternatively known as a smoothie.0
