Just getting started!

Hi, my name is Katie, 30 years old with a husband and 2 doggos! I started my health journey in January and have lost 25lbs so far. I am a former athlete and I lost myself with life and the stress that comes with it. I have always struggled with my weight and going back to my old ways. I am really looking for accountability and fresh ideas to make this a sustainable lifestyle change.

As a former athlete you might be able to jump right back to being in super fit shape in no time. I just started up again, with simple 7min workout daily (1-2 rounds depending on time), making some steady progress there, and now I've added some running, in just he past 2 months, I'm down nearly 10 lbs and best of all, if know that my metabolism has improve tremendously due to the workout. We were just out with friends on Sunday to see game 7 and I over indulged in Guinness, because I was so thirsty. So silly, ended up have 4 after a good month of not drinking anything. Usually, 2 would leave me with a hangover, but I think I processed the alcohol like never before. That being said, I'm going to do better and stay away from alcohol for awhile.
So, dumb question, but how much time can you carve out for exercise. I understand that diet is important, but combine it with exercise and it's a game changer. Especially for you, as an athlete, you've probably have a good base of strength training that just needs a dust off.

I'm working on making time to exercise. I work in the construction industry so my time is limited to only have time in the evenings if I don't work late. Currently I'm only getting into the gym 1-2 times a week. I just noticed that this app also gives exercises to do at home so I'm planning on doing some of those tonight! As far as the alcohol is concerned, I had to make that lifestyle change because I had no self control and my drinking had gotten out of hand. I am now a year and 3 months sober. I figure if I can do that, I can do anything.
