Why are my workouts disappearing?

When I wake up and look back on the previous days diary my workouts are missing! Anyone else have any issues? I have a fitbit and use healthconnect to share the data. It's really annoying. Also there seems no consistency with steps. 2 days ago I got 200 something calories for 8000 steps, yesterday I got 60 calories for 7800 steps.

Should I ditch health connect and just connect via fitbit?
