Anyone have hysterectomy and lost weight after?

I just had to have an emergency hysterectomy. They left my ovaries so that I hopefully don't hit menopause. It has taken some weight off, but I want to lose that 6 month pregnant looking stomach. Anyone who has been there, done that, please comment! I have just now started walking. It's hard to do, but I did a mile today-also my surgery was 2 weeks ago.

I had a hysterectomy last fall. It will be a while until you see any change in the size of your stomach. At only 2 weeks, there's a bunch of inflammation, water retention, and probably a little CO2 from the surgery lingering around too. You're probably still tender around your belly, right? It was at least 3 and probably more like 4 weeks before I saw any real change. But it happens, never as quickly as we want, but it happens.

I had a full hysterectomy last August thanks to developing huge fibroids. Ugh! My belly shape is better than before. So hang in there! I think what really helped me was finding some pelvic floor and ab rehab exercises. They are not just for after having a baby.
