Food and quantity matching for recipe creation or imports wildly off

I use the recipe import and creation function regularly. And every time I input ingredients there are many - and many very silly - matching errors. This means every time i have to not just modify the quantity or units, but almost always I need to search and reselect the ingredient. Here are some examples - both of these happen every single time I have "egg" or "scallion" in any quantity.

1 egg - matches as "1 cup egg" with no ability to change amount.

1 scallion - matches to "1 kg scallions" with no ability to change amount

I see this more often than not in ingredient matching - is there a place to report or should I add to this thread?
