Not new to MFP, my wife introduced me to calorie counting about 7 years ago, lost 30 lbs over 5 months just eating less, felt good, but stuff came up at work and I guess I lost interest and gained it back over the next year or so. A couple years later, regrouped and did a more robust plan and lost all 95 lbs the second time (255 to 160 lbs) with a combination of restriction (calorie counting) and a lot of cardio/resistance training to get back into shape, and since then have maintained a moderately active lifestyle and just eat (no counting) and all is like it was before the desk job. Finally.
