    good to hear you were released from the cancer doc. Hope your DH gets positive news from the MRI.

    I take a reusable bottle with me nearly everywhere. it helps.

    I also think J&C can figure out their own meals, Michele. And who knows, maybe it’ll all sort itself out organically.

    July 31! How the heck did that happen?!?

    Annie I would freeze at least half that birthday cake… β€œβ€¦if there's no police and no hospitals, then it's all okay in the end.” Truth this!

    Debbie the mapo tofu sounds way betther than the Maypo tofu image I had in my head. :sick:

    Lanette we had the warning, then downgraded to watch, then advisory. Big waves cleared out some kelp debris on the beaches but no damage thank goodness. We’re safe at 600 ft above sea level, but those big tidal waves can take out the bridges that are crucial to our survival. Crescent City’s dock was damaged this time, but no casualties, thank goodness. β€œβ€¦ harbor was destroyed and one man died in a 2011 tsunami, and in 1964, a tsunami killed 11 people...” from LA Times.. Joe’s sleep pattern has been like this before, when he worked graveyard. Seems like since we moved there he’s gradually been reverting to that pattern.

    Allie thankful Sean’s injuries were no worse.

    Mo I envy your gas prices. At our Freddie’s (Kroger) cas is around 3.87/gal so takes almost $40 to fill my tank. Still grateful we don’t live 35 miles south where its at least a dollar more a gallon…

    Lisa when will Kels et al be transferred to Illinois? Vertigo? Oh no! Love the saltire pillow.

    Carol, praying the MRI shows something simple and easy to fix permanently. How long will you have to wait? ((hugs))

    Rita hooray for good news from kidney doc! You are doing great with Lucy and the car. Well done!

    Michele maybe aim for one family dinner a week, like Sunday? Then let Jess and Colby buy/prepare/eat and cleanup after their own meals on their own … like Carol, Flea, Barbie, Lisa and Beth said. Lanette’s and Machka’s suggestions to talk it out now are spot on.

    Barbie so glad you ventured out of your comfort zone only far enough to have a good time ;}

    Tina does your canyon ever flash flood?

    Beth prayers for your DH’s helpful MRI results. I used to have a glass waterbottle that I’d take with me everywhere. It was heavy and a pain but I liked it β€˜til I broke it… ;{

    It’s true people food is generally not good for dogs (too sweet, too salty, too fatty). BUT. When I confessed to Dr. Koob (the best vet ever really miss him) that Joe gave the dogs some of whatever he ate, he reassured me that the bonding was worth the risk.

    Action for happiness
    30-bday cards to PS and RA.
    31-Struggling with judgement, especially of self, part of being human ;}

    OMG room progress
    Kept keyboard clear by filing yesterday’s incoming, excavated a bit of the desk by writing two birthday cards.

    Time to eat and shower before chair yoga.

    Later, lighter, lovelies!

    July focus: Just one thing from the OMG room. Really.
    2025: Chose NOW: to move more than yesterday (see action plan), fuel better than yesterday (hold that after dinner sweet down to two pieces of dark chocolate max), open heart and mind before mouth

    my mother in law used to feed her dog so much people food.
    At least half of what was on her plate was given to the dog, no mater what it was.
    His food she would rehydrate his kibble but add canned food(both fine)BUT top with a few slices of cooked bacon, grated cheese and add chicken boulion to it.
    He lost 5 lbs in a few months after she went into the home and I started feeding him- still rehydrated his food and after he ate that, he got a small amount of canned food. I also walked him twice a day until son moved in over there and now they are taking care of Kobe.

    I have a reusable water bottle that goes with me all the time too. Even take it to aqua zumba- get thirsty during the work out.
    I used to be terrible about drinking any water- just drank tea. There is something about this water bottle that I really like. I even take it when I go to bed-put it on the head board. Get thirsty often at night. When ever I wake up during the night, get up, go pee, go back to bed and drink more water.

    Hello Everyone;

    I am going to take a nap soon, even though I was put to sleep for the EGD. I agree with Barbie and Carol, Rose doesn't beg, and now she is begging. I now ignore her, and I fed her Kibble, and she is doing much better. I don't know what I was thinking. Rose is getting chunky, too. When I didn't give in to her, she ate her food.

    The exam showed that I was fine and everything was normal. I was going to take some Amazon returns today, but I am not allowed to drive. So after my nap, I will wash my clothes and work out.

    Machka, bees are awesome and needed for our environment. I got stung one time when I was 8, when we were outside for inspection. I touched him because someone told me he was there. I just let them do their own thing outside. I save dragonflies when they get stuck on my patio. I save birds, too. Wasps are just vicious.

    Lisa, I love the Phoebe run πŸ˜‚. It would be fun to sit with you and re-learn how to crochet. I would love to learn how to do the squares, especially. I could make blankets for the babies in the NICU and hats.

    Heather, I am so happy that your friend G was able to get to where she needed to be and repair her relationship with her family. I pray for her good health.

    Allie, wow, another grandchild! Congrats to you all. Get plenty of rest, drink plenty of water, and eat well.

    Rose is right behind my desk chair; she is afraid that I will leave again. I will chat again soon. Until then, stay safe.

    Xo,

    There was no screaming or trembling or neck supports required when the physiotherapist did the Epley on my husband. It's a very slow gentle process.

    Regarding son feeling closed in, I am not worried about that. He has always been a social butterfly. When he was 4, I used to tell people at our nudist resort that he put the conversation in the conversation pool, (salt based hot tub that was crescent shaped with the tiles making a bench seat on both sides, could hold 20+ people). He would talk about the Greek and Roman era and people would mouth to me "how old IS he"? Lol. When he was a toddler he decided he needed to hug everyone. He would look at someone and whisper to me, " I think she needs a hug". I would kind of gage the situation and say something like, "have you gotten your daily hug today? My son wishes to hug you"! He was so sweet and it was mostly old ladies he did that to, and

    they'd be teary eyed. So he naturally seeks out social interaction, its just his personality. Some old photos of him.πŸ’–
