My body can’t do what my brain wants it to.

I was on here years ago & came back because I gained a bit during COVID & after because of physical issues stopping me from doing the exercises on my lower body.
I sustained a severe back injury years ago; in my work as a nurse. Had to have surgery and with the chief of neurosurgery & he made my back worse. It’s too much too complicated fo go into here,

But my legs were left affected from the surgery. Muscle wise my legs are still basically strong. It’s the complications that affect my gait, balance, etc.. I have fallen more times than I can count. Ending up with black eyes, increased pain everywhere & several concussions.
The whole thing is very upsetting & embarrassing. I miss all kinds of events; including time with my two quite young grand babies. Which makes things emotionally much worse.
I'm hoping losing some weight & starting to work out again; will help me in many ways. I was very active before all this & would like to get back to that.
Anyone who can relate in any way; please get in touch with me. As much as I need to get support, I can also give it.
Good luck to everyone. 😍

Oh, Surviving2020, I'm sorry you're world is being rocked. I must say, as someone who received a boogered skeleton due to a helicopter crash, I can relate. The doctor "tried" his best, but nope, I've been walking like a question mark. I have to admit, I started with a few exercises, lost a few pounds, and I've been able to walk a tad normally. Please don't give up.
