I am a previous Weight Watchers member. I only want to drop about 15 pounds. I started feeling like their weight loss method wasn’t necessarily a super healthy way for me to lose weight. A friend told me about Fitness Pal. Today is Day 2. I’m really liking the calorie based program. It makes so much more sense than the WW point system. Also, I chose dancing for my aerobic exercise which is easy for me as I love to dance and can easily do 30 minutes a day. I’m almost 65 and am excited abbot getting moving again!

    Hello and welcome!

I'm a big fan of the MFP method, since it lets us make choices on our own to achieve the happiest possible combination of tactics to accomplish our weight and fitness goals, rather than trying to channel us with more narrow rules.

I'm a little older than you (69) but was younger (59-60) when I used MFP to lose weight, around 50 pounds in my case. I'm hanging around now to maintain a healthy weight: So far, so good. 🙂

This can be a useful tool, for those it suits. I hope the recent days beyond day 2 have continued in a positive direction for you.

    Wishing you success!
