Macros constantly reset even immediately after saving?

MFP Premium user, setting custom macros (by gram) doesn't seem to save. I've reset them 4-5 times this morning and frankly I'm starting to look to other nutrition trackers as this is just idiotic. The entire reason I chose MFP Premium was the ability to set custom macros, and having to reset them to my chosen goals every 5 minutes is infuriating and makes MFP Premium entirely pointless.
All of the forum posts I see related to this are years old. Anyone experience this recently?
Additional context: I've had stable macro goals for ~6 weeks now and decided to adjust them this morning. Now I can't go back to what I previously had or set new goals because it keeps reverting to the suggested goals. When I try to hit the "Settings" page on the web app, I get a 502 error, so I'm assuming there is something going on in the backend related to updating settings. It would be awesome if the app were smart enough to warn when something went wrong saving your settings instead of acting like nothing is wrong.
Further context: I was finally able to load the Settings page from the webapp and set macro goals. Then I closed the mobile app and reloaded it, which reset all of my macros again. After logging out of the mobile app, the web app seems to keep my macro settings (I've clicked around in the web app for a bit and when I come back to the goals page it has what I set). I log back in on the mobile app, and it resets my macros (both mobile and web apps show the wrong values).
Something is seriously broken in the mobile app.

TLDR: there is an active bug ticket open to fix this issue.
Bug and imperfections happen. If you must be impatient, find another app. Their I.T. and Application Teams will get it fixed when they 1. Find the issue in the codes and rule, 2. When they find the solution to the problem.
Here is a link to "update known issues" list: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032274332-Known-Issues-Android-App
I just sent a ticket in on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, because at 3pm, when mine reset.
I can't math at all. If anyone is feeling this pain, it's me, my numbers for my nutritionist are all jacked but I'm doing the best I can will this app and good 'ol fashion pen and paper.
Having a little knowledge in this area of tech; it appears at some point prior to this, users were unable to update Diet/Fitness Goals after adjusting caloric goals. They patched that and fixed it with 25.26.0 update.
However, now when that update was released, it appears it now flipped the switch and you can't make adjustments to macros when adjusting Diet/Fitness goals.
It is frustrating but because of the quality of this app and the accuracy of their food nutrients labels, I will deal with a few mistakes and accept that nothing is perfect and errors in life happen. I shall keep my note pad out for a while longer.

Thanks @slacker06 that makes perfect sense, and I appreciate the links.
I am a software developer, so I'm no stranger to bugs. It happens, I know. But to see this occurred numerous times over the course of the past 10 years (and I didn't dig much…just a quick search showed it has happened numerous times) shows they haven't solved the problem, and are content to reintroduce bugs as they go. From my perspective, that's just unacceptable.
Imagine having to manually balance your bank account because your bank continually reintroduced bugs. Thirty years ago that wouldn't have mattered, but today that's an expectation that a lot of people hold.
So I've cancelled my Premium Subscription and I've moved on to (as you suggested) another app. Call it impatience if you want, but the technology exists so we don't have to "pen and paper" "math" it while their dev teams figure out how the bug got reintroduced (hint: every bugfix should include a new/updated test to detect if the bug has been reintroduced in future releases).
