More protein

hi everyone. I’m trying to get in 100 grams of protein day. All my friends say I have to eat that in order to lose weight. I take 1 egg and 1 protein shake per day then my meat or fish for dinner. Need help with lunch and snacks. Any info will be helpful. Thank you all

For some people, 100g of protein is a fine amount, but there's nothing magic about that number and weight loss. When losing weight, one of the top concerns should be to lose fat but keep muscle; you can encourage the body to do this by exercising (doesn't matter what type) and getting enough protein in your diet, about 0.7g of protein per pound of bodyweight. A 100lb person would thus need 70g protein per day; a 200lb person 140g protein, and so on.
Now, for the question about where to find enough protein to meet your specific number, there's a thread here on MFP which includes data on dozens of food items, including their protein and fiber content. Look through it, find foods you can enjoy, and do some simple math to see if they add up to what you need.
