Difficult Night

Last night was one of those nights where I'd eat anything sugary if I had it in the house. It was tough, I went to and from the kitchen 3 times to collect and scarf down a palm full of cashews while trying to get to sleep.

However, I need to be kind to myself and enjoy the morning’s weigh-in victory: -10.2 lbs. I feel better and move more easily with less pain. So, a tough night, but good morning.

Stay focussed y’all. Make it happen.

Y'know, life is about balance, or so I think.

You did well. There are rewards in being slimmer, no question, and you'll doubtless find ways to enjoy your overall way of eating while also achieving your weight-management and health goals. The quality of life rewards from finding a good balance . . . they can be huge.

Good show - keep up the good work!

    Difficult night…Well done!

    1. Grabbed only a palm full at a time.

    2. Eating cashews, not a sugary snack. (I love almonds)

    Congrats on the loss!

Good job on going for the cashews and for overall staying the course! Those are the victories that see us win the war.

I'm having a rough time and I'm battling the urge to slide back into binges. Today I got close - I bought a 5 pack of lemon slices and a 5 box of Fiber One brownies and honestly, I expected to scoff the lot. But after 3 of the lemon slices (about 450 cals total) I felt yuck and said "no. Not doing this, it's doing nothing but making me feel worse". So the brownies are in the pantry, the slice is in the fridge, I'm booked into a 6pm yoga class and I'm sticking to my planned fish dinner. Was it the perfect day I was planning? Nope, but it's way, way better than it could have been, and would have been in the past.

We all slide once in a while, and will have those craving.

ChrisBolduc -Good job not having the sugary foods at home - helps keep on track.

Alatariel75 - Good job not beating yourself up about a minor slide. It is so hard to say 'shove it' and give in the towel when we don't do it perfectly right. We need to shake off the occasional slide and keep on the right track.
