Hello, and welcome!
I'm 69, and am an MFP long-timer, took just under a year to lose about 50 pounds, have been maintaining a healthy weight for 9+ years since. I started being routinely active longer ago, but I was already in my late 40s then, and just past full-bore treatment for advanced breast cancer.
My experience so far is that I'm able to improve health, fitness and body weight, as long as I put in the work I know is needed to get there. I don't know of a switch to flip that makes it happen super quickly, but gradual progress adds up surprisingly fast, with some consistency, patience and perseverance in the picture.
Do you have specific health goals in mind? There are various threads and groups here in the Community that could potentially be helpful, since many people - of all ages - have similar goals.
Wishing you success: The quality of life improvement is more than worth the effort it takes!
