shortcuts for daily entry

Hello, I have been keeping my food / cal intake daily here for a month or so, and it is SO user unfriendly that I am almost to the point. My life and diet choices are fairly limited and consistent so I want to be able to just pick easily and then later, pick easily enter, ect. It seems every time I open app to update, it's a mess that I have to sort thru and pick, ect. I accidently started this deal a day ahead on the calendar so that's the very first thing I have to adjust.

Are there any fixes to this already started log ?

When I go to add an item in the app, I am immediately presented with a list of my most recent / common entries. I scroll those and click away. Takes me very little time.

If you eat the same each day then you can simply swipe right in the app and all ingredients/meals from the previous day come back within that category (breakfast, lunch, etc). You can also set individual categories, but that might only work on the website.

If you're repetitive, I hope you're using the Meals feature in addition to the good tips above.

Even a super-complicated day would only take me maybe 10 minutes tops to log, and that seems like a small price to pay for losing from obese and maintaining for darned near a decade since. Most days the time investment is negligible to the point of barely noticing it.

If it's Too Much, though . . . calorie counting isn't the only way to weight - it's just the most predictable way. Or try another app, maybe you'll like a different one better (though I'm skeptical, since there's always some learning curve and some effort involved).

If you want to log but don't always want to stay a day ahead, either skip a day to catch up, or delete the previous day and go on from there. The "lost" day is trivial, in the big picture. It's not major effort, seems like.

i agree. It’s so cumbersome. I’m using my own tracker. So much faster. Plus I’m on a meal plan, so tracking calories is a lot easier. It’s just the app thinks I’m not doing anything.

OK, thanks y'all, I log on the laptop. I have lost a little patience with these type tasks and was just wondering if I did not do properly. Although I eat a lot of the same stuff, it's not something I can copy from previous like a copy paste thing. The list of my foods to choose gets long quick and I just need to maybe slow down. Be nice if I could group this list into breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for an easier search and that is kinda what I was asking. The date is easily doable. Thanks and I am losing !

The exercise log is much the same.

There's a setting that makes the search list just show recent/frequent foods for the same meal, rather than all meals.

Yes, this^^ should help you. On the web version, after you click add food, right under the field for typing into search you should see "or add your favorites for all meals" — click on "all meals" to get a drop down menu to switch to get just recent foods from the meal you're currently trying to add to. So instead of this:

    Add Food To Breakfast

Search our food database by name Quick add calories

Or, add your favorites for: All Meals

    You'll have this:

Search our food database by name Quick add calories

Or, add your favorites for: Breakfast
