WATER AEROBICS

HELLO EVERYONE.

I GO TO WATER AEROBICS, BUT CANNOT FIND IT HERE ON THIS SITE SO THAT I CAN LOG IT INTO MY EXERCISE SCREEN. AND I CAN'T MAKE A NEW "TAB" FOR IT, AS I DO NOT KNOW HOW MANY CALORIES THAT ARE BURNED FOR AN HOUR OF EXERCISE.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW MANY CALORIES ARE BURNED DOING WATER (AQUA) AEROBICS, OR, HOW TO GET WATER AEROBICS TO COME UP ON THIS SITE?

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP.

Hopefully it's a lot more calories than classes I've subbed for. My experience is that there is more yakking and gabbing in water aerobics classes than any class I've ever instructed.

I use the water aerobics, water calisthenics for my "playtime" in the pool with my 3 year granddaughter. We never stop moving. I run in place or run through the water chasing after her nonstop. I need to get a HRM so I can see if it is accurate.

Great for arithritis, & pains. It helps a lot and a lot of fun.
  • I agree with you, Ninerbuff, on the folks who mostly gab at water aerobics classes. But I rarely talk to anyone, outside of hello. I am there to workout my body......not my mouth.....and that is what I try to do.

The vast majority of people aren't going to burn enough in a water aerobics class to make it worth the bother to track. Just log the time, and don't worry about eating back the exercise calories.

I go to 2 aqua classes run by 2 different people. One class the teacher makes it damn hard work, but we all end up laughing most of the way through too. Doing push-ups is so hard for many of the class and balancing on/using those long "noodles" or whatever they're called has us all in fits of giggles. Those classes I FEEL I've worked hard... now the other class is more of a light dancing in the water for 45 minutes, and I really dont feel I've pushed myself in that class at all... but the strange thing is, its the hard work/giggle class that most people talk in, even though they are working hard!
I always log the hard class, but only sometimes the easy class.
  • you people must not be going to the right aquacise class. i go three days a week and we do stretching for about 15 minutes and then we do 30-35 minutes of straight-up exercise. we work our butts off. and then we cool down with some more stretching.

i use the water aerobics/water calestetics and log it as 30 minutes. trust me i do earn it.
