Renewing Myfitnesspal after about 10 years

Hi, I'm in my 50s and am finding it alot harder to maintain a healthy weight and be as active as I would like. On the plus side my kids are able to take care of themselves and don't need me at home. My challenge is stopping myself from eating like the rest of the family. Looking forward to seeing stories of inspiration and insight.

Hi - I'm in a similar position. 51, and for the first time in my life I'm gaining and gaining weight (used to pretty much be able to eat anything with no effect)
I started logging everything for a few weeks to see my patterns, and this week just started intermittent fasting. Early days yet but I'm feeling good and motivated0 -
Hi Lucy,
The part about being able to eat what you want sounds very familar. Back in the day I struggled to keep weight on. I miss those days.
I was able to fast from 6:45 pm to 6: 30 am today. The high school where I work begins our days at 7:15 am so I am trying to not eat after my last meal. My husband has a longer commute so it's a challenge to eat together often. I think baby steps in the fasting department will go a long way.
This app has been really helpful. Glad you are having a good experience too.
