Emotional Eating

Does anyone have any sure fire ways of overcoming emotional eating/food addiction? We're going through a lot of stress in our home (two kids under 3, financial problems, and moving 10 hours away to a new job!!) and I've become painfully aware of how much I rely on food for comfort and my weight, health, and self-esteem can't take it anymore! HELP!

Keeping a journal / diary helps me. When you feel like eating from emotion jot a few thoughts or what your day is like in the journal first (before you eat). Getting the emotion out and on paper then always ending the entry with a positive on decisions you made that day towards your nutrition and fitness goal can really help.0
