Trying to log and count. Suffering mental denial

Rollercoaster with my weight

Age 14 = 103kg

Age 16 = 69kg (heavy cannibas smoking + meth)

Slowly regained weight ++ more over the years

Age 28 = 138kg

Age 33 = 75kg (Natural weight loss, exercised for hours = unsustainable)

6 years later = now sitting at 88.5kg approx

I just want to eat everything, im really worried about the last 5 kilo increase. Im trying to log and count calories but I cant consistently stick to it. My brain keeps rebelling against me. Saying you can just go exercise it off, like I did earlier. I have never really faced my over eating.

First of all, lot's of us here have issues with yo-yo weight. You are not alone or even remotely different from almost everyone here!

Second, there's a reason for the saying: "You can't outrun a bad diet."

You eat at a deficit to lose weight, exercise for the health benefits. There are lots of stories here about people that exercised religiously and were still overweight for years until they got their diet dialed in.

Once you can change your mindset regarding your diet and exercise and how it fits your calorie goal, it will become easier I promise. There is a reason that people here do NOT eat their exercise calories back, or at best a small portion of them only. If you use MFP as it was designed (track everything you eat/drink, measure and weigh everything, stay at/under your goal), you will lose weight.

    Good luck!
