Whole grain grams

Is there an available list for grams of whole grain? We know we need 65 grams of whole grain per day. The website for whole grain council, yellow label on some, but not all products, doesn’t have a list. Should my fitness pal add the whole grain element to foods listed in log foods? This knowledge would help us eat healthier.

On that logic, they could add any number of other items where there are recommended serves - vegetables, fruit, serves of calcium, protein etc etc…

And the issue with this a lot of the time is that - where would the information come from? You acknowledge yourself that the whole grain council itself doesn't have a list, and only some products have it labelled, where would MFP get that information to add it?

This is generally the issue with asking to add tracking for anything that is not legally required to be on food labels - it's one thing to have the coding capability to track it, but actually sourcing the information to track is a completely different matter, and you end up with an app that appears to track something, but the entries don't have that information, because it isn't available, and so the tracking ends up being wildly inaccurate. It's poor business practice to knowingly offer a feature that will not do what it claims it can and will only put people off.
