A small update - this morning I lost most of the trip weight. I am back to my typical 243 Lbs. Now to get into the 230s. I will do upper body weight training since my left leg is unhappy.

⭐ 8/31:Lovely loss, very happy with this. I know it's at least partly because I haven't been weight lifting this week, so next week will be different, but it's nice to have a good drop because of food all the same.
The kids come back today! I'm trying to renovate their bathroom so they'll want to use it instead of mine, haha. J is getting to the age where her own shower and products are going to be important to her, so I'm making it as nice as I can. I've painted the walls, and I'm putting up another towel bar today (why is the only one in the bathroom over the toilet? Terrible placement.) Most everything comes in on Monday, but the back and front-lit mirror I ordered for the wall won't come in until the first day of school, so I can't wait to share the before and afters with you all then.
I'm also doing some early fall cleaning, since the weather's so nice right now. I've just gone through my spice cabinet and consolidated and refilled some jars. It didn't make a huge impact, but it did something. I also went through my pots and pans cabinet and took out what I never use, so now everything in there has a spot that's not piled on top of something else. 🤪
I also took a bunch of shirts out of my drawer to get rid of some I know I'm never going to wear- that I think look bad on me regardless of weight, too stretched out, or whatever. Hopefully I can get most of this done before the girls get home, lol.
The big looming project ahead of me I already see on the horizon is organizing the tools. They're everywhere, they're in weird spots and like 12 different bags have different assortments of tools, and I can never find the one I want, ever. Makes doing things like putting up towel bars interesting, lol.
Tag party!
@anneliz35 you're doing great with quitting smoking! And yeah, an uptick is to be expected after a fast. You're still doing great!
@finngirl61 using dedicated weights in a gym type scenario is way better than trying to cobble something together at home, I've found.
@rorymason I've got my fingers crossed for a good A1C!
@KeriA 100% slower weight loss is better for you. Whatsisface and I watched that documentary about The Biggest Loser on Netflix the other day- absolutely awful things they put those people through, all in service of better TV production. 😢
Have a great Saturday, everyone!
