Dietary fiber

the app does not subtract dietary fiber carbs from total carbs. Why not. Os it possible to adjust it manually?

Net carbs calculation is a feature in premium MFP, but not available in free MFP. Last I knew, I think the setting had to be turned on in the phone/tablet app, but then it would take effect in both the phone/tablet app and the web browser versions of MFP.

I have premium, but don't use the net carbs feature - don't really care about net or gross carb levels at all as long as I get enough protein and fats plus stay close to my calorie goal, though I do track fiber. As a consequence, I may not be up to date on details about it.

I think that part of the reason why the app doesn't do that is because nutritional info isn't displayed the same way the world over. MFP did introduce it, briefly, a while back when they added the optional feature to Premium for US-based customers only. It being configurable wasn't even rolled out worldwide to start with but the change affected everyone, whether you were Premium or not. However, for those of us in the UK, it meant many of our carbs figures were suddenly wrong because MFP was deducting the fibre figure on all newly added database entries (but not existing ones) whereas, in the UK, the figure on our packaging is already net.
