30lbs in three months is pretty aggressive; 2.5lbs a week might be difficult to sustain for more than a week or so.
Would you consider a more modest and patient approach? Most people aim for 0.5-2lbs per week.

Hi Jessica! Welcome!
30 lbs in 90 days would be a VERY aggressive goal to shoot for. Most people here will probably "gently" suggest you shoot for a more gradual loss that is healthy and sustainable over time, and they are not wrong, but it is possible, especially if you are more overweight than the average person. The more weight you have to lose the more weight you can shed quickly, if that makes sense? I mean, if someone weighs 330 and they are trying to get to 300, that is a lot more doable than someone 150 trying to get back down to 120.
Something to keep in mind as far as the math goes: each pound of fat translates to roughly 3,500 calories (so to lose a pound you would need to burn 3,500 more calories than you eat). So for most people to lose a pound of fat in one week they would need to eat at a 500 calorie deficit every day (500 calories X 7 days + 3,500 calories).
Now, in order for you to make your goal, you would have to eat at a deficit of about 1,167 calories every day. It's not impossible, but you can see how incredibly restrictive that is for someone, and difficult to maintain over a long period of time. 1,167 calories X 7 days = 8,169 caloric deficit each week. Not to mention, MFP might fight you because there are minimum safe calorie guidelines for most people and that amount of a deficit might put you under that minimum safe amount.
If you have been instructed by a doctor to lose this much weight this fast, I would work with them and follow their directions to make sure you are safe and healthy, but if this is just a personal goal for yourself, I would recommend you follow the MFP guidelines and shoot for the 2 lb per week maximum. That would still be 24+ pounds in 3 months!
Healthy habits that last are better than any quick fixes, I promise! Good luck!
