Yes, it considers everything you log.

It's still - IMO - silly. It says "if every day were like today". Every day won't be like today. Everything it assigns us - like calorie goal - is an estimate. Everything we record - like eating and exercise - is an approximation. No two days are ever exactly alike.

I have never ever even looked at that - I didn't ever find it accurate or useful - so I don't even 'complete this entry' for my diary. I keep track of my calories so I know what I'm consuming, keep track of my calories burned so I know if I need to eat more….and make sure that those estimates are correct over time based on my weight.

No days will be exactly like the one you logged….so it's just taking into account too much data that I don't think it's really ever useful to anyone. it seems to cause more distress and anxiety than anything so I just …. don't worry about it.

I think the 'if every day' is silly as well. First, not every day is the same. Second, your body won't follow the algorhythm MFP uses! (You will plateau, you'll hold water weight, etc.) I know MFP is trying to do this to give motivation, but I feel like it can backfire. If it tells you that too often, then you DON'T lose the weight expected, will you feel bad??

I, too, rarely complete my diary. Just an extra click for no benefit.
