Gastroparesis

I am new to this app trying to learn how to maintain my health. I really need to lose some weight. I’m a diabetic type and it’s hard with all these foods are out there to lose any weight so I’m trying to eat less cut back on sugar so any suggestions on any type of meals or snacks that would be good to kind of crave your sugar cravings down

    I would consider consulting with a nutritionist or dietitian— normally I would recommend increasing your fibre intake, however because of your gastroparesis, would probably make things worse. You could take a supplement fibre gummy with inulin, which is not as insoluble as “food”, and may be easier on your gut. Metamucil has a great pro-biotic gummy with 2 grams of soluble fibre per.

    I think what’s key is to Set and track your macros — and create a calorie deficit. Make sure to increase your protein so that you’re getting an adequate amount (something like 1.2 grams of protein per body weight), Drink a gallon of water per day, Walk 10,000 steps & strength train. Again tracking, protein and water intake are key!!

    I’m no expert (and not diabetic) but this has helped me lose weight and keep it off.
