Is it worth having one to meet the protein macros. I am talking about one of those high protein drinks that you usually drink after a workout.

Its fine. Its no different than meeting your protein intake with chicken or fish. 'I use them occasionally when my protein is low.

If your having a problem meeting protein goals, then sure. Personally I prefer protein in food I can chew.......I like to eat.

I dont do it daily but once in a while I havent met my goal and I dont have a better option. I was just wondering if I am wasting my protein shake on a non-workout day but I guess once in a while is ok.

Remember you still need protein for your muscles even while resting. After all thats when they grow. My protein intake does not change from the days i work out to the days i rest.

You repair and build on off days so yeah protein intake is important overall.
