if they’re due to fat, then losing weight will reduce your chest fat. But if they’re hormonal / out of proportion with the rest of you (some men do have active breast tissue) then you may need an operation.

Overall weight loss is really the only way. That means eating less than you burn overall.

As stated above, overall weight loss is really the only way. Unfortunately for men, the torso is usually the LAST place the weight falls off from.

You can eat at a deficit until you lose enough weight to see a difference in your chest/abdomen, but doing exercises in the meantime can help. As you lose weight you can also lose muscle mass, so the weight loss can sort of make it seem worse, but if you exercise and keep your muscle mass and maybe even tone up a bit it'll be less deflating as your body drops the weight. Hope that makes sense?

You won't spot reduce the fat on your chest but as you lose the weight there will hopefully be some muscle under it to help fill out the area.

    Good luck!

As mentioned above, the torso for men is usually the last place to lose extra stored body fat. Calorie deficit consistently will be the tried and true approach as always.

Even then, you may get down to where you're waistline is small but still have man boobs. That's then going to be extra breast tissue and surgery is the only option to get rid of it.

But if you're concerned in a gym or going out, wear a compression shirt to help "flatten" them out visually. The shirt won't do anything to reduce them physically, just the appearance.
