Day 64—10/25: 215.0 – A giant drop! It might be fake, we’ll see if it sticks. Sometimes that happens with me, it will eke down or hold steady and then has a big drop. We shall see! Had a good cardio/weights workout and a satisfying stretch. I feel like my stomach is a teeny bit less in my way, and I’ve decided to monitor my progress in that way too. 😀
Day 65—10/26: DNW – took a lovely 2 mile walk with DH along a nature trail and saw a giant blue heron! There’s so many beautiful trails around here I’m going to try to make it a Sunday morning habit to get out whenever the weather cooperates to help counteract sitting on our butts watching football the rest of the day. 😉
Day 66—10/27: 214.0 – I can’t believe I have a Monday morning drop! Although I did just work hard doing a cardio workout & stretch, we’ll see if it continues tomorrow. I did well managing to have fun over the weekend while making good choices so I feel very happy about that!

I am Dawn. I turned 65 this round. I have changed my eating habits over time. I basically eat half of the amount that I used to, and have limited eating Ribs to once every 3 months instead of once per week. I eat everything, just less of it and/or less often. I topped out at 207, at 5'2" that is not healthy at all! I joined MFP at 198lbs. Ultimate health goal for my arthritic feet is 110-118.

Day 64—10/25 — 136.2 - I am okay with a .4 gain, I didn't get dinner until 1am! I kind of had to. I left work, came home, my friends were here, we walked over to the theatre and then came back here after. I really needed to eat after they left.
Day 65—10/26 — 136.6 - We have had discussions about not being able to outrun the fork. I subscribe to Scientific American, and this study of ultra marathoners is interesting.
Day 66—10/27 — 137.6 - Ouch! 3 nights of eating late. Expecting to be home from work by 3:30 today and my day off is tomorrow. This usually signals eating something a bit more fun and having a few cocktails, but after seeing this weight I may have to rethink that. Just a little more than 2 months and I plan/hope to cut down to working 5 days a week, ultimately 4.

I hit my workout and food goal yesterday. I use an old Fitbit Aria2 scale, and I just noticed some new problems with the app. The scale is transmitting, but the app is dodgy. Long story short, it shows a different weight in the app's dashboard than it does in the app's chart. Not a fan, but I have to use what I have on hand. This is the reason I pay attention to the 10-day moving average. That's closer to reality, and I do believe that I'm up .4 lb. It makes sense considering how things went last week. All good. I'm doing better this week.
It wasn't giving a low battery error, but I changed the batteries, reset the scale, deleted and reinstalled the app, and then paired it again. Let's see how it does tomorrow.

Day 64—10/25— 161.8 - Wow…not sure why the jump, but it happens. Today had a granola bar and a half cup of milk for breakfast...wasn't really hungry. Just finished baked tilapia with mixed vegetables for dinner....and water. Might have an apple later.
Working on the afghan for my grandson. I finally have the pattern down so I don't have to look at the instructions anymore....that helps.
Day 65—10/26— 161.4 - Daughter took me to lunch after we did some shopping for her for Halloween. She told me she is on vacation this week so she rented a place in the Catskills and is driving up tomorrow. She will be back in time to give out the candy to the kids. We don't get kids in the apartments so I didn't have to buy anything.
Lunch was a bowl at Pancheros and a Coke Zero. No dinner. Having water right now.
Day 66—10/27— 160.8 - Had leftover shrimp salad for lunch. Dinner may be Ramen. I won't be getting my food stamp allotment next month so I won't have much leftover in the account for food. I won't starve, but I will likely go through most of what food I have left in November. I can't use my Social Security for food....that's my rent money.

Thoughts at the start of this round:
This round will be challenging as it includes the U.S. holidays of Labor Day, Halloween and Thanksgiving. All are big foodie or party and dessert type holidays in the U.S. There are also multiple birthday celebrations in my family. In addition, there will be a lot of travel which is traditional in the fall for me as I try to avoid as many icy driving trips as possible in the winter months. There will be lots of doctor appointments away from home as well as Christmas and gift-giving shopping in this round. I will have to make sure I stay on top of my plan in every moment I can and to make the necessary corrections every time the scale goes up. We can’t control the ingredients in restaurant food so portion control will be key when away from home. I will again aim for a 10 pound loss this round. Thanks for sharing your journey with me and allowing me to share mine. I am grateful for you all.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

CURRENT WEEK:
Day 65—10/26— 184.6 ↔️ (Trend Weight: 184.2) My goal is outrageous this week. I hope to lose my normal weekly goal of 0.7 and make up as much of the back weight-goals as possible. I am still down from the start of the challenge so I’m using that as inspiration going forward. I am definitely hoping to make up some of the lost ground but I’ll need to stop dipping into all the Halloween goodies to do that. My addiction is sugar and addiction is often very ugly. The good thing is that my meals continue to be good or I would really be doomed. I don’t need a daylight to dark plan. I need a daylight THROUGH dark plan. I’m eating this garbage late at night. Double Whammy!
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 Day 66—10/27—183.8 ✅ (Trend Weight: 184.0) This is a late weigh-in as I had my DGS this morning and was up very early for the school bus. Then I layed back down for some precious sleep. Basically the same schedule as Fridays. I will also have him again next Friday through Monday due to DD’s work schedule temporary change. So I’m not sure how accurate this is but it was a good day yesterday for sure. Except no exercise again which made 3 or 4 days in a row. He’s kept me on my toes though so I’m not sure if that counts. I did some raking and burning too.
