feeling guilty

So, today I feel like I ate like a big, fat pig. This was supposed to be my "getting back into the swing of things" day, but I feel like a failure -- even though I came in under my calorie goal.
I don't know why but I was just super hungry all day and so I just kept eating. It started out with a well portioned out snack ---- which eventually was doubled... then finding my husband's cookie stash..... then just rounding out the day with a late night binge of crackers with butter and honey.
I was excited to start off my week right because this is my first week of expanding my exercise from one big cardio day/wk to three big cardio days/wk. Now I just feel.... defeated.... before my week even really started....
Any advice on how to deal with days like today??

Start over right now. YOu should go through your kitchen and do a makeover soon. Get rid of the things that tempt you and bring in lots of choices that are better for you. Drink lots of water everyday. IF you are feeling that hungry then you may be a bit dehydrated and need fiber and protein in your diet. Your body really wants good food in it. Don't beat yourself up just get back to it.0

Accept that it happened, don't beat yourself up over it. It's not going to be fast and easy, this won't be the last time you mess up. Just accept you had a bad day, and remember tomorrow is a new day. :drinker:0

If you are under your calorie goal, why do you feel defeated? The idea is to come as close to your calorie goal as possible. Too far under will not reap you any additional benefits, and may even hold you back. If you accurately logged everything and still came in under your goal, then you had a great day.0
