i have changed my account and username slightly from zebasschick to mebasschick as my previous account had problems.

i'm a 68 year old woman who's into playing music (mostly bass guitar but getting into keyboard digital piano), into fitness and weight lifting, drawing and watercolor painting, and i'm an avid reader.

over the years, i went from 242 pounds, now weighing 153.8 pounds, and am working to lose a little more to get my blood glucose down to normal. i'm close, so we'll see how things go after that.

i have a house full of fitness gear - larger pieces include a semi-recumbent exercise bike, a bells of steel power cage, a separate cable tower, 5 barbells including an open trap bar and lots more.

earlier this year i had a mild stroke, which despite being mild left me in the hospital and inpatient rehab for 49 days, but i'm building back muscle and working forward.

would love to meet new folks and reconnect with my previous MFP friends.

    Welcome back, ze/me-basschick: It's good to see you're here still/again. 😉🙂

I knew some of those things about you, but I didn't know you were into watercolor. Sadly, due to poor character and short attention span (the latter more recent 😐️), I'm rarely serious about anything, but I've been poking at my watercolors a little bit recently as part of a mixed-media visual journaling hobby. Well-wielded, watercolor can be magical in moments. So far, mostly, when wielded by me, not so much. Fun, though.

I also didn't realize you'd had that long hospital/rehab stay, even though you may've posted about it here: That has to be really difficult. I'm glad you're feeling able to be working your way back from that. With your past successes, I'm confident that there's continuing progress ahead.

Happy you're here, glad to know you have a new user name . . . wishing you continuing success!
