Progress Journals / Accountability Threads

- Other forums (like Bodybuilding.com, Reddit’s r/progresspics, or dedicated fitness apps) let members keep a personal progress log thread.
- MyFitnessPal could add a section where users can maintain ongoing accountability journals—with features to track updates, progress photos, or milestones in one place.

People post threads like this all the time. Often, it's in the Motivation topic area, but it's allowed in any topic area.
In your own progress thread, you can post anything that's allowed within the Community Guidelines, which certainly includes updates, milestones or progress photos (as long as the photos meet the rules for photos, basically being decently covered and not in underwear).
Yes, other people can post on your progress thread. In general, when I post a thread, if I want to narrow the topic, I say "this thread is not for XYZ" and people respect that. Since there is a "no hijacking" rule for threads - not allowed to dramatically change the subject of someone's thread - I suspect we could flag/report posts on our thread that we'd explicitly and specifically said weren't welcome, and ask for those off-topic posts to be deleted . . . but I haven't ever needed to try that in the 10+ years I've been posting here.
